Thanks for looking at my web site. I am located in Batavia, New York, which is half way between Buffalo and Rochester. I have been drawing and painting all my life. I am now retired from a life long career in business, having founded Hodgins Printing, Hodgins Engraving and John's Studio. I now devote my time to my wife, family, painting and drawing. Explore my web site and enjoy the work! Even though I "retired" years ago, I still enjoy painting signs. Check out my web site, Papersigns.com . To order, print out the order form, fill it out and mail or fax it to 585-343-3613 |

I have painted for over 40 years. In the past, I have studied with some great teachers; Edgar A. Whitney, John Pike and Claude Croney. I am a past president and current treasurer of the Batavia Society of Artists. I work in watercolor and oils. I recently switched to acrylics, painting on small masonite panels. They are usually 8x10” or 11x14”. I try to keep them loose and impressionistic. Enjoy! You can see more. Check out my Painting Page. |

Years ago I found a pig feed brochure in a farm feed store. I painted a picture of a pig, which was on the cover, and it sold immediately. I kind of forgot about it until recently and have started painting pigs again. They are beautiful little animals and have a lot of charm. I am having a lot of fun with this and they sell very well! You can see more of. Check out my Pig Paintings. |

I have been involved with local politics for a long time. Once I was frustrated with the inaction of a local board and drew a political cartoon. Since then I have drawn and had published almost 200 cartoons in our local newspaper, The Daily News. You can see more. Check out my Cartoons. |
